Going out with a Bang!

My short story, The Mad Scientist, has been accepted for a Lady's Killing Circle Anthology entitled, Going out with a Bang, scheduled for release fall of '08. This anthology features short stories of Canadian women crime writers and is published by Rendezvous Crime. I'll let you know more as more info becomes available, including the launch date and time.

Northern Lights: An Anthology of Contemporary Christian Writing in Canada will be released in the fall of '08, and I'm pleased to announce that my essay, 'Celestial Navigation' will be featured. More on that when it's available, or click here for the publisher's website.

When Boomers Go Bad

My short story, A Nice Cup of Something Hot is featured in When Boomers Go Bad, published by RendezVous Crime.

This is the sixth anthology of sinister short stories from The Ladies' Killing Circle. When Boomers Go Bad takes a look at some nasty hippies who've made the trip from 'sixties flower power to corporate greed, from peace signs to no trespassing signs and from protesting war to profiting from it. Naturally, they've left more than a few bodies in their wake.

In A Nice Cup of Something Hot, a baby boomer takes up a very interesting scrapbooking hobby when her husband of thirty years leaves her for a younger woman. In November I attended the launch in Ottawa. Click here for pictures. (I'm the one in the black dress and the peach shawl.)

What the Wind Picked Up

Another story of mine, The Great Lobster Race is included in What the Wind Picked Up, an anthology of stories written by members of Chi Libris, a group of Christian writers.

All proceeds from the sale of this book go straight to the charitable organization, Samaritan’s Purse

I'm pleased to offer two short stories right here on my website.
  • White Christmas Pansies was awarded Best Short Fiction in the Write Canada Competition, sponsored by The Word Guild. It was originally published in Christian Week in 2001.

  • Amber Waves
was published in an audio Anthology of Alberta Authors, in 1992.
